The servers / cart girls get a percentage not the full 15%.

I thought that if you paid cash the girls got it, but the 15% is automatically added to all clublink F/B charges!

Doesn't really matter who gets the 15% - it's not in my pocket anymore

I played Eagles Nest for the first time a month ago. There was a guy waiting for us at the 18th. As soon as our cart got to the green for putting, he starting chatting with us and cleaning our clubs. Is that normal to have someone right there. While I don't have a problem tipping him but it's a bit unusual as normally they wait for you at the cart return or just as you drive off the green.

Same thing at The Rock the other day. Couldn't avoid the guy even if I wanted to. I was taking my final putts and the guy was already cleaning my clubs. I gave him $4.

We have a club cleaner at 18 as often as possible. The tips he collects goes into a pool for all the back shop guys for the day for both shifts (open and close). Often the number is around $5 for a group, with that varying to a toonie per person up to $20, all depends on the person/persons.

I would say around 25% don't tip and 50% of those should as it is likely the only time the clubs will get any attention throughout the season

I've seen many many ugly swings this season, but the condition and quality of some of the equipment that passes me on 18 leaves me shaking my head.

I've only been told once to not clean the clubs, so I made a smart *** remark about him not wanting an actual golfer touching them

Most that pull up don't know how old I am or my relative ability around a golf course!

If anyone cleans my clubs after a round, they are getting a tip(even if it's my playing partners with a beer).

Frankly, i dont care the skill of the players in my group, the guy cleaning my clubs, or what the course pro could shoot, and the course record. All that matters to me is MY score coming off of 18. Also, no one is cleaning my putter, dont even touch the headcover!

I would not want to be the guy that yanks my putter outta my bag, with a towel full of rocks/grim/sand in the other hand ready to wipe it down...
