  • New Personal Best 74!

Gotta tell someone! Might as well be you Nuts. Played Willow Valley today with a buddy. Shot 39/35 for a 74. So 2 firsts, my first time shooting an under par 9 and first time shooting under 77!
Straight golf, no mullys, no gimmies, no adjusted lies. Gonna be a great year! Go low everyone!

It’s from the Garmin golf watch. It uploads to your phone after each round. I have mine setup to track what clubs I use, how many putts I take and my score. You can adjust what info you input after every hole to suit yourself.

Congratulations. Now that you've excelled so early in the year, an even par round shouldn't be out of the question. Good luck.
This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

Nicely done. Though you did set the bar pretty high to start your season.

                        Might as well quit now...

No, but seriously, what's the secret? I've shot 77 a bunch of times but never lower. Were you aware of your score the whole time or did you just count it up at the end?

Honestly I always know where I stand in a round every shot. Unless I’ve blown up to an 85 or something. After the front nine 39 it was pretty typical. However I knew I was hitting every iron in my bag flush. So on the back I had 4-5 good looks at bird. On 18 I hit a brutal drive and landed on the edge of a bunker. I had the ball 2 feet above my feet with one foot in the bunker. I had 360 in on my second shot. I resigned myself to a 7 iron layup leaving 200 yards in on the side of a hill, ball below my feet. Purred a 5 iron in the green side bunker and made the sand save. Best par I’ve ever made.

Well done, especially with spring conditions.
