I never thought the day would come!! Waiting over 15 years was well worth it though
I decided to play Turnberry Golf Course for the first time at a Par 3 Shootout tournament. 5th hole was playing 154 yards into the wind, so I clubbed up and hit a smooth/soft 6 iron. Right when the ball hit the air I saw it had a perfect line so I said "Please be the right number!" Ball lands and disappears, didn't see if it actually rolled in :-( The group ahead of us were watching and they yelled out "HOLE IN ONE" I thought they were messing around and didn't believe them at first. As I was driving up to the hole they all came up to congratulate me so I knew it actually happened. My buddy Jarett who was in the group ahead said it landed in front of the hole and rolled in. I confirmed that after seeing the divot about 3-4 feet in front of the cup! Def. the most exciting round I've ever had, ended up shooting 8 over par and finished 3rd in the tournament.
