I picked May, only because I really think courses everywhere will be closed because of covid-19. The risks for courses won't be worth it.

i think even without F&B they will open as soon as they can. I would think they need cash flow to maintain the course you cant let primary asset deteriorate.
          privates might be different

              I suspect June.

By that time, the courses should have provisions in place to support basic operations.

Are we talking about courses or does the park across the street count if I work on my wedges there?

I say by the end of May-Mid June..so like last year basically

Is this public or private courses , private I say we still open in April, public I would say May, I think courses won't be able to survive if they close, think so many of them as it is struggle for cash flow, might be adjustments on F&B maybe but think private clubs will be opened?? I hope

Sorry Hannah, you have it backwards. Private courses have our dues....... They'll keep it shut tight until this has passed & the courses are lush & pristine. Public will open asap.

Still think private will open in April, I think members that are paying these dues will want them open with a few concessions, that’s what I’m hearing so far, 🙂

Members will have little say. Shorter season, lower costs, same f&b spent over a shorter period...... Clubs will be fine (given that it is a June start).....

Now 2021 may be an issue.

I am the eternal optimist, so I picked April. Time will tell whether my optimism is justified.
This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

I'm with you Michael, time will tell but I say there will be a few concessions but members will want their course to be open, a lot can happen in 4-5 weeks, but again we will see in a month

I expect golf courses will be open in a limited fashion. Dining areas will be closed but pro shops will be open, with increased cleaning. I could see food and beverage sales being limited to sealed goods only (ie. chips/chocolate bars and no draft beer). I expect that most places will not be running carts as 2 people on a cart breaks the recommended social distancing range, and has the highest risk of transmission. A foursome of walkers should have no problem staying 2 metres apart.
