I have yet to sort out the finesse of getting the right distance on a bunker shot (a lot of the time I play at courses with bunkers that are not really great) but, I am getting on the green most time and now rarely have repeat bunker shots.

Me as well this year. Open stance, swing out to in and accelerate. Out every time of our also inconsistent bunkers. But distance control is another matter.
