I had a nice one on Saturday at Tarndowah into a strong 2 club wind. Hole 6 Par 4 Driver, 5 iron, 20 foot breaking putt to the right into the cup. A day where Pars were tough to get that was a bonus!

Tonight, during final days of our league at RiverEdge in Kitchener in tough wet conditions. Not just any bird, but yet another near miss ace (Getting closer, has to happen soon!!):- Par 3 9th: Playing about 125 yards in the cool, rainy conditions - 9 iron right at it the pin, soft greens kept the ball only a few inches from the ball mark and leaving me only 5" behind the hole, kick in for the bird

6 today ( with 4 in a row ) at The Oaks of St. George and could nearly have been 7 total !
AND my first ever sub-par round at 1-Under ! I haven't shot a Par round since back in 2019 when I did it for the first time ( had 4 that year , nothing since )
Was first off today, booked in solo , but ended up playing with some of my regular early morning GolfNorth dew sweepers -> Gary and Rich ( Norman, younger bro of Mo' ). However I did play from the White tees with the other guys to keep things simple, social, fast.
Front 9 was very clean, just a bogey on 2
Birdied 8,9,10,11
Hole 12 - was going in for birdie but needed just a half-inch more speed to drop -> 5 in a row would have been quintuple'y sweet !
Hole 13 - sitting at 3-under, I take a bad 3 putt from not that far away ( back 9 greens were much faster )
Hole 14 - pulled a PW approach into a tree, blocked out by the tree trunk, had to punch out sideways, then up and down to keep it to a single bogey
Hole 15 - Birdie
Hole 16 - Par
Hole 17 - a mere 90 yard Par 3 -> a double-bogey FFS ! to bring me back to Even
Hole 18 - 4H -> 4H -> LW -> Putt for a Birdie and a 1-Under round
Even though I played from the Whites, my approach shots were money, and all my birdie putts came from nothing longer than maybe 12'. Some days golf seems so easy, but then it can go for the sh*ts ! LOVE THIS GAME !!!
