Three this morning in a rainy round at Cambridge Golf Club on the way to an uneven 82.

7th hole - par 3 - 135 yards: 9-iron to 6 feet, made the putt

15th hole - par 3 - 160 yards: 7-iron to 12 feet, made the putt

18th hole - par 4 - 285 yards: 5-wood, 58° wedge to 6 feet, made the putt

Today, Savannah in Cambridge - One bird:

• Par 4 16th: Playing around 300 yards today, 3W off the tee into a strong wind, leaving 100 yards from my position in the left rough, rough left quick thick after last nights heavy rain in the area, I decided with the rough and wind to hit a choked down 9 iron, hit it as good as could in the conditions, and went about 20 feet past the hole, straight putt dribbled in for the bird.

In my 1st full round this year I got one at Vespra Hills Sand Hills 9, 7th hole, 160 yards par 3. I hit a 7 iron to 10 feet, kerplunk.

A nice one today at RiverEdge in Kitchener during my 9-hole league night:

• Par 5 2nd: Playing about 500 yards to a back pin position, a mediocre drive to the right bunker left me about 260 yards left, decided to go with a 7 iron out of the sand, decent shot but still had about 115 left, 9 iron in the wind to the front of the green leaving me about 30' for the bird, straight lined putt to the centre of the cup.

#3 at Timberridge. Back pin 8 iron to 5 feet. Made one of the few putts I made all day.

#5 at Golden Eagle's North course; Par 4: DR-->LW-->one putt

1 today at Winchester hole 7 a par 5

2 today in what was a stellar front 9 at Elmira G&CC:

• Par 3 3rd: Playing 175 yds to the front pin position, the better landing area was just past the pin, so I decided upon a 4 iron as there was bit of a breeze into us, hit the shot flush but sort of hit the front part of the green sloping towards us, unlike one of my playing partners, mine stuck and gave me about 20' for the bird after a firmly hit right to left putt.
• Par 4 8th: Playing almost 400 yds to the uphill green, I hit a poor drive to the right rough just off the fairway, I had almost 190 left into a stiff breeze, hit a low stinger 3H to the front of the green and it caught and rolled beautifully to about 3' past the pin, easy straight putt for the second bird.

Vespra Hills Homestead course, 4th hole, par 5. Driver, hybrid over the green. Chip to 6 feet, ker plunk.

Saugen Sunset #6, decent drive, approach to the back fringe and rolled it in.

Back-2-back birds at Highland Glen.

#3 par 3 a decent 7i that drifted left. I needed a chip that was the exact distance and lie in the rough that I'd been practicing in the back yard the day before. Hit it perfect and had read it perfect and it rolled in just like a putt.

#4 par 4 a good drive and a good 50* wedge left a tricky 10' downhill putt which rolled in.

Got so excited by the prospect of 3 in a row I swung out of my shoes on the next tee, with predictable results....
