Well, the article didn't exactly nail it....it just threw a bunch of stuff on the wall in the hopes that something would stick.

Not all of these changes are millennial.

If rebranding means this pant wear becomes popular.......I might just take up pickle ball.

Although....this might be good in the spring when there is a lot of casual water to navigate.

Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

I don't care how he looks as long as I don't have to listen to whatever he's playing...

That article seemed mostly concerned with fashions and brands and I'm not sure that really addresses the issue of millenials "saving golf".

There is very little in golf fashion that really appeals to a young urban edgy whatever demographic.

Pretty much any time any golf fashion tries to edgy and timely and contemporary, it looks like what an old guy thinks young guys think is cool.

I can't imagine any kids seeing that pic of JT's ankles and saying "I've got to start golfing, just look at the pants you can wear.".

Not saving it and not rebranding it either. It was a fashion blog with grand thoughts. Skinny jeans that show your ankles is not changing anything.

At least he isn't shirtless and playing tunes as that viral video with he and Spieth from a couple seasons back showed

                ".
The author states that claim in the first few words that it really isn't about golf, more about fashion shift and ......a little bit golf

                "This is not about golf.

This is about brand building, “bland” building, legacy disruption, social change, racial equality, streetwear’s triumph, Covid’s wake and flogging endless gear to the Alphabet Generations.

                Okay … it’s a little about golf."

Meh. New clothes that claim to be genre busting, yet somehow still all look the same. Either very plain muted tones, or full on 'loudmouth' style prints. IMO the only cool thing that's come out have been better fitting hoodies suitable for the course. The short joggers are fine for others but definitely not for me. They talk about the "flogging endless gear to Alphabet Generations," but every social media influencer seems to have gotten equipment sponsorship this season.

Are we just jealous we cant fit into those pants anymore ? lol

We are also migrating 100% towards collarless shirt esp the young guys (look at Hatton's shirt on sunday.) The starters and marshals take note, it is acceptable and dont be too harsh a fashion police

Did you think we didn't look stupid when we started golfing and we were forced to wear knee high socks with shorts???
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Read like an ad for a bunch of products, 90% of which will be gone in a few years. Things change after all.

Nope never wore them wore slacks 😀.

But I did have a pair of madras plaid slacks in red blue and yellow that in hindsight were pretty ugly 😇
