Played Conestoga Saturday. Struck the ball amazingly well. Especially for my first round of the year. unfortunately they already have aerated the greens. Didn't think they did them this early In the season. So putting was impossible . Managed a 76 from the tips with a few three putts. So definitely wasn't disappointed with the score after not hitting a ball for 5 months

18 is a lot more open than before. It used to be hard to even notice the creek the runs along the fairway due to the trees overhanging. Now it is quite prominent.

Finally got out to the range at Vespra Hills yesterday. Other than 2 sim sessions, that was the 1st time I touched the clubs since late September. Not a bad session , although I'm a bit stiff this morning.Today we have our opening scramble, which is a great way to lick off the season. Hopefully I can hit a few decent shots to help my team.

Played Watsons Glen yesterday. Lots of POA patches on the greens but they ran true. Tee boxes were not in great shape.
I left my 5 and 9 irons on the range. I went in the pro shop after and they didn't find them and nobody turned them in!!!
I didn't have a chance to put my Golf Canada stickers on yet, not that it would have probably helped.
May I will check Marketplace.

I finally got out yesterday, albeit for 9 holes. I had played in our opening scramble 2 weeks ago, but yesterday was the first time I gout out for a 'real' game. I played with a new member and his son, who hit it a mile. The father was a good player too, so I knew I had to stay focused just to keep up. Turns out I played very well, hitting the last 6 greens in regulation. Despite 3 putting 2 of them, I shot a 5 over 40, my lowest 9 holes in 2 years. Very enjoyable and encouraging. My next game is Monday, and I'm hoping to have the same mindset. Maybe there is hope for me this season.
