  • Scum Bag from Etobicoke

Thought it might be good to start a separate thread for anyone that has updates or wants to discuss the case.

This way the other thread can just be for people paying respects in case gutterB ever wants to show it to Tim's wife to show how much people care.

I tend to be a crime junkie is a sense and have been following this very closely. There are a few things I would have posted in the other thread, but thought it not the time/place. I think this thread is a good idea where we can discuss the case without impacting the nice words, and well wishes of the other thread.

Anyway, I heard on the radio driving to work today an interesting theory that the Toronto Star apparently got from a source within the investigation. They are looking at the possibility of this being a "thrill-kill" carried out by a close, tight-knit group of friends.

This makes me wonder why the whole 'truck' thing would be their starting point for choosing a victim (if you recall, another gentleman with the same model of truck was taken on a test-drive with the same perps)

Also, they are going back and re-looking at some other deaths, notably Millard's father. He died a few years back with a gun shot wound to the eye. Originally ruled a suicide, but now they're not too sure.

        Here is a link to the article, just reading it now myself;

In the files of WTF - Millard who maintains his innocence, and says everything will be clear when the other suspects are captured. That being said, he refuses to talk to the police and help to apprehend the others.

Prison is full of innocent people #notlikely. Everything he and his lawyer have said so far, we heard from Michael Rafferty. "there's more to the story, I'm innocent, blah blah blah. Yesterday was a national platform of audition for Pradakar and he siezed that opportunity for himself.

Frankly I doubt the plot is all that deep, stupidity will be the underlying factor when all is exposed rather than some deep and devious plot.

Sounds like the script for "Alpha Dog" which was based on a true story.

I play hockey with someone who knows that building and people within it..... after a quick convo with him this is what he is hearing..

              - Millard isnt talking because he is just a pawn within a mafia-so type group

              - He provided the land, building etc.. collected his money...the higher ups did their thing.

              - He is the fall guy.

              - He has two options: 1) keep quiet and take the punishment 2) Talk to police, witness protection, end up dead anyways..

sounds crazy. but you never know these days..

doesn't really explain why he was the driver. Cops don't charge on a guess and they don't ban the publication of eveidence that doesn't exist. Judges don't allow charges to stand and order custody without bail unless they see a good case being built by the crown. guessing they have Millard dead to rights. He may not want to talk because anyone else arrested will testify against HIM.

The hanger is massive. How would a company in a zero revenue position carry it?

Added: What the police are saying about what millard is or isn't sharing may or may not be true, the police have no obligation re: his cooperation to be forthcoming and could be manipulating this stuff to their potential advantage.

Agreed. Sure, we are speculating here, but it's not like we're just pulling things out of mid air. I'm very interested to hear the whole truth of this crazy, crazy saga.

All I know is this... In the other thread I said that it defied logic all the effort and willingness to take a hostage and /or murder someone for just a 50k truck...

I was replied to by a couple of tgn'rs that they disliked any discussion of it being anything more than simple attempted theft/senseless murder.

It could be but I doubt it...

I also learned yesterday that the truck was actually listed at only 24k asking price.

All this to steal a truck worth so little?
To not just steal but take a person?

It has to have more to it. A supposedly well to do kid going after a old used truck?

Millard has access to an hangar that could allow for unencumbered access to an international airport.

They needed a large vehicle to tow something(fifth wheel) that could not be traced back to them.

A defunct company still maintaining expensive space.

This screams of some sort of drug ring or illegal enterprise.

I don't understand why they just didn't get someone to steal the truck without involving the owner, but crooks aren't the brightest folks.
