  • Cigar smokers?

For the avid smokers out there, just wondering if you could recommend any cigar shops? I'm in the Niagara area, but work in Milton, and pass through Burlington daily.
As far a prices go, the best place I've found is, Virgil Avenue Tobacconist, in Buffalo, NY. I'm looking for something more convenient, as I just can't get out to Buffalo very often.

havana castle cigars - very friendly and will work with you to get exactly what you want buy, not what they want to sell you.

Thanks, I've been meaning to get to both of those. I've gone back to a small slmoke shop on Thompson Rd in Milton. Best prices for sure. There's a new Cigar shop in Niagara Falls, (Cigar Experience), for anyone in the area. Good selection, nice storefront, but very pricey and the service is terrible.

This is too far for you but some of the Eastern GTA'ers might read the thread too. Cigar Bodega on Main St. In Unionville is a great little shop. Lots of selection plus they have a few "house brand" options that won't break the bank compared to the Cubans.

          Great service there too BTW.

Strange... Evan the owner is an amazing guy and his staff is always very helpful. Sorry you had a bad experience, I would email Evan and I'm sure he would make things right.

He does seem like a good guy, and maybe I'm being too harsh. Cigars are a niche product. Most cigar shops I go to, really go the extra mile. I don't need free stuff, or fake smiles, just a genuine welcoming, saying we want your business. I simply just don't get that at "Cigar Experience".

                Re: Cigar smokers?

I order all my cigars from serious cigars in Texas or Cigar Place in Florida through their online sites.

Yes on occasion you will get hit with duty but I have been making orders 2-3 times a year since 2008 and only have been hit with duty 3 times. They are also both very good in either just calling it a cigar sampler and putting a lower price on it for you.

The cost difference is still very worth it as they do not have the huge tobacco taxes we do.

As an example my last order of Arturo Fuento was $203 USD for a box of 25. When I last saw them at the smoking Cigar in Toronto they were going for $19 each.

Just checked out the Cigar Place website. Looks very good, with great prices and selection. I'm really considering an order. How's the shipping costs?

At Cigar Place Shipping at times is free other then that I think between $20-$30 is the most I have ever paid. Also with Cigar place google discount codes, sometimes they offer multiple coupons on brands i.e Alec Bradley, Oliva, CAO, Autero Fuente, Rockey Patel ETC. Add the coide and in cases you save 10%-20% per box.

For Serious Cigars shipping works out on average to $30.

Do they have a brick and mortar shop as well? Their online pricing is very good, but cigars are something I like to buy hands on.
