no, that's not what she is doing. She is discussing how Arabic language is used in media sensationalism and in the American context. It being a carefully edited clip should be a warning sign you are not getting context.
Here is the full interview.

When people denigrate Trudeau lefties don't go "yeah yeah you're right hes pretty awful".... they say "but scheer is the alternative and he is worse than awful" and they turn a blind eye to his transgressions. That is what I am, and have been doing wrt Trump. The only alternative that MIGHT have been better than Trump has been chased from the primary by the progressivebarm of the DNC for ripping Kamala Harris' feet out from under her during the debate (Tulsi Gabbard). Tulsi should have known that the debates aren't for finding the best candidate in their party, they're for finding Trump's loudest detractors. Until the democrats put forward a candidate that doesn't want to overhaul the entire system in what has been the most powerful, influential, and successful country for the last 100 years, I'll continue to support Trump and the GOP despite their flaws.
As for Omar, you don't need to watch much more than what I posted to understand that Omar was comparing AlQaeda to America, England, and the army. She has a history of making radical remarks and then walking them back when the public decries her and she uses it as an opportunity to play victim based on her religion, ethnicity, race and sex. The rest of the 'squad' plays the same game.

Stop acting like its whataboutism. Its politics, when we're discussing the current leader - it is worth discussing who the alternative was in 2016 and who the other party is currently represented by.

Omar does not compare Alqeada and America, she compares how people use the Arabic language and react to it. That's not unclear.
While is disagree with Omar on many things at least she walks her errors back, she doesn't get a sharpie out and double down on hurricane forecasts.
Isnt Trump a victim? You spend (as does he) a great deal of time talking about how Trump is a victim of the media and Dems conspiracy against him. I don't think Omar has a monopoly on victimhood.
But it is a whataboutism because you use it to not address Trump's character while attacking others. and answer the tough questions about his character.
I recall the good ole days when the GOP hated liars who misrepresented themselves in heroic ways, let's ask Brit Hume,

It is not whataboutism to try and force people to acknowledge that there are significant problems on both sides of politics instead of just that darn Trump and those racist conservatives. Do you think that the delusional democrats like Schiff, Nadler, Schumer, Blumenthal, Pelosi, Waters, Omar, Tlaib, AOC are in any way improving the discourse in politics? Or is it just Trump and his supporters in congress? I think that group of democrats in congress would be more dangerous if they had power of both houses of congress and the executive branch than Trump is currently. Thus, I look past his transgressions like many on here look past the political radicals on the American left.

I don't agree with your assessment. First in terms of number of outrageous statements I don't think any of the Dems you mentioned are on scale with Trump. Secondly, Trump uses his position as a bully pulpit, something I have no respect for in leadership or humans. I don't see that in the people you mentioned, occasionally perhaps but not regularly. Trump's use of combative style may appeal to those who yearn for a more authoritarian style of governing but it's useless in a two party democracy to get anything done. His style actually impedes progress and has done nothing to unite people, in fact the opposite. Lastly Trump's position should make him feel he is more responsible for his words because he doesn't just represent a constituency or a party but the United States itself. That makes what he says more important, he does not understand that responsibility.
i don't buy that you support Trump only because he is better than the alternatives. You are a fan of his style as much as his policy positions.

But it's in the context of how Arabic words which have no root evil are not translated into English and that creates issues for her. I understand that concern, I don't necessarily agree 100% but at least I hear what she is saying.

2. It is subjective, I'm sure if Omar et al. were under media scrutiny as relentlessly as Trump, you wouldn't regard them in such a good or moderate light. For their relatively small sample size, they have espoused some pretty frightening beliefs.
3. So because he represents something bigger, he should sit silently while the progressives disparage him at every turn? I didn't want Trump to win the GOP Primary, but it happened. Hillary was a nonstarter for me and the current crop is worse. Therefore I continue to support Trump. As to his style... it depends what you're referring to. I much preferred Obama's speech, he was much more articulate and with Trump you would think he is illiterate. If you're talking about his proclivity to stand up to his leftist detractors in the media and in washington... I LOVE it. How did being the nice guy work for McCain and Romney? They were slandered with the same 'isms' as Trump and they sat idly by while the media presented it as fact. As to his leadership style, I have no problem with a leader firing people who aren't doing their job as expected. Trump had the disadvantage of not being a Washington insider like every President before him, he picked his team based on RNC preferences, not based on his own experiences with them. Much the same way he has used a third party to help him decide on which judges to appoint.

2/ they have different views and I don't agree with all of them. I think AOC uses the media like Trump, say outrageous things to get attention. I don't think it help who views be taken seriously.
if you don't think the right wing media don't follow the Fab Four as closely as they follow Trump, you haven't been paying attention. The Blaze created the Omar video you posted which clearly misrepresent her view, intent and context.
3/ trump's leadership is a joke. Good Leadership is about responsibility, caring for people and management of their talents. It includes vision of positive values, not fear and hatred. Trump hired all the idiots he fired, he never takes responsibility, for anything he does wrong. The chaos in the WH is solely his doing. Either you hire the right people or get the right advisors. He's responsible for selecting both. He will deny he said something 5 minutes after he said it. I wouldn't consider trump a leader in any sense of the word. If somebody like Trump worked for me or I inherited them when I took over a position, it would be my priority to have them leave under my "no *******s at the office rule". He is somebody who inherited wealth and station, he did not earn his position in society through great leadership, brilliance or quality.
But I look at all the research of what triggered a large percentage of his voters to support him, you have represented virtually all those positions on this forum, almost verbatim. It's almost like you were the median representative for Trump supporters.
