  • Winter Storm warning

Apologies, I know there is a thread somewhere but I couldn't find it.

Down in Niagara we received a winter storm warning, supposedly large accumulations up to 35cm.
Nothing yet and it was supposed to start around 4am this morning.

    Anyone else getting snow?

Most not supposed to start until this afternoon with the biggest coming overnight...poor kids in Toronto, Peel and York and they could get a snowday day 1. I suspect busses will be cancelled at a minimum.

Another storm coming late Thursday into Friday.

They're calling for snow squalls here, much of it lake effect. Not sure if we are getting any of the storm that's going to hit the GTA though. Either way quite a bit is coming.

You guys down there stay safe. Looks like it is going to be awful today and tomorrow . . . luckily the north is getting nothing, well cold temps. Really we didn't have much snow this year. In January we might have got 30 cms total . . . and it came in a small storm (about 15 cms) . . . hopefully it will lead to an early spring . . .

Says nothing until the over night here, but even then, maybe 15-20 cm at most.

Very light snow here all morning, heavier flakes picked up 20 minutes ago, just the start I expect.

Take it easy. No hurry . . . if it take a bit longer, no big deal . . . better to be safe.

Yup - we've got sun out here now too. Time for the Daily Covid Walk before the snow comes.

We had some very light snow around 10 AM. No accumulation.

All the weather reports are full of alarms and bright red warnings. We'll see what happens overnight.

You can all thank my daughter in Oklahoma for the coming storm. They had it yesterday and this morning. The standard Okie method of driving in the snow and ice is to floor the accelerator and try to steer.
