You would have to turn the water off and bleed the line . . . letting the water running a little bit was probably their only chance.If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

my brother in Nbay had the water main from the road to house freeze the year he bought his house. That was almost 30 years ago since then, whenever it goes to -25 or colder he runs the laundry room tap"Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened "
