Fell awkwardly, got pitch-forked. Same thing.

    • If you saw the replay, Kampf took a shoulder to the face.

      • Another game, another fairly dominant performance.

Leafs up to a mind bending 789 scoring chances for on the season, Florida is next at 625.

Schedule has been a little soft so far, although the win against Calgary is looking increasingly impressive. Will be interesting to see how they stack up against some of the top teams.

Wasn’t it Kampf how got his feet pulled out and landed on his back or am I mixing it up with another play?

          • Kampf was hit in a incidental collision. Both players were looking in different ways and Kampf went airborne landing on his arm/shoulder which he grabbed at and could be concussed also because he was a bit wobbly.

He skated today, so hopefully that rules out a head injury.

              • Considerable praise for the 3rd line from the coach and media, which is predominantly Kase and Kampf who played together as youths/teenagers.

If the Leafs have found a credible 3rd line which can pitch in with some offense and take some defensive zone faceoffs, that decreases the pressure on the top 2 lines. In particular Matthews who had to take a considerable number of defensive zone faceoffs/assignments last season.

It also frees Kerfoot (and Bunting) to move around as needed.
And a 4th line built around Spezza if he continues to play effectively, will also 'eat up' some valuable ice time.

Ritchie may be fitting in on the 3rd line.
Bunting has been able to move around and provide depth.
Mrazek unfortunately has made no impact.
And come the end of the season/playoffs Ho Sang may move into the role Galchenyuk assumed last season.
Clifford might also be around then to take on a specific role. And Gabriel is in the system 'just in case'.

So some of the 'smaller' moves made by Dubas appear to be working.

Hopefully. I agree, the third line has looked really good in the few games I've watched. I really like Spezza.

Loved the live mic when Spezza blew the big clapper past Quick.
Matthews telling him what a perfect view he had of the shot.

                    • Maybe no surprise that James Reimer can’t stop much when he sees Leaf uniforms.

He doesn’t have a complete game in his last five starts against the leafs.

The last four prior to tonight’s game did not add up to 60 minutes.

                        • They're getting the job done out west, kudos to them. The big 4 put up some points last night too, which is good to see.

Ironic yet he’s top 10 in the league for GAA if you count guys who’ve played 10+ games. Just has an issue with that Maple Leaf it seems?

After last night’s performance Woll is sitting at 1.67 GAA and Campbell at 1.68.

I’m pretty happy watching Woll’s play. He moves around the net very well. Just gives me a good vibe and hope that keeps up. A dynamite duo (if it continues like this) is an amazing thing to have on your team.

And if Wohl keeps playing the way he has, maybe this will be a big move that works out? OMG are people going to have to say that Dubas knows what he's doing?
