Roe v. Wade Is No Longer The Law of the Land

The SCOTUS confirmed late Wednesday night what they implied with their silence on Tuesday.

In a 5-4 decision. the court refused to block the Texas law (S.B. 8) that effectively bans abortions after 6 weeks.

I understand that the majority decision argued procedural issues, but it is beyond reason that the court would not block a law that is such an obvious end-run around the trimester basis of Roe v. Wade.

Any notion that the SCOTUS is anything more than just a political arm of today's GOP has surely all but totally evaporated.

That's what happens when you stack the deck as Trump had the opportunity to do. That will be his lasting legacy, a very conservative court that will condone GOP policy, wherever they can, for many years into the future..

what percentage of aborted babies are conceived through rape?.... you make it sounds like a very common occurrence.


personally, i'm "anti-abortion" when it comes to using it as a form of birth control, but 6 weeks is pretty restrictive, some women don't even know they're pregnant @ 6 weeks... and there should be exceptions for things like rape/incest....

the fetus is literally attached via an umbilical cord and inside her body. Your argument is laughable
