  • Day Trip Course Suggestions

Once again able to hold our annual 'day trip' fall golf outing.
A foursome of 'seniors' who have known each other for over 50 years.
One plays about twice a year. Two are 'good golfers'. They get stuck with me as the fourth.

Looking for suggestions for recommendations for a course about 90 minutes one way from Markham.
Willing to spend about $125, possibly more depending.
The trip will be held in the fall, sometime from late September to mid-October (corrected a previous error)

Previous courses included/played in these trips include Osprey Valley, Deerhurst Highlands, Kawartha, and Black Bear Ridge.

Are considering Wooden Sticks, Bond Head, Tarandowah (just a little beyond our hoped for drive time), and even Glen Abbey depending upon recommendations, travel time, cost, etc. Or are more than willing to return to one of the previous courses.

    Thanks.

In September...Oak Bay in Port Severn would be nice, as would be The Nest
My vote as it is closer would be Wooden Sticks

+1. After having played it last week, it is now one of my favourite publicly accessible golf courses in the Niagara/Toronto area.

If you're coming north, I'd suggest The Nest at Friday Harbour. The fee are $165, but after noon Mon-Thur the cart is free. Very enjoyable course, and a good test.
