And they get back one of Toronto's favourites.

In exchange for goaltender Michael Hutchison and a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

          • Searched Arizona Coyotes on twitter.

“Of the $67.2M cap hit the Arizona Coyotes now have on the roster, 57.6% of that is allocated to pseudo-retirements, cap retention via trade, and contract dumps.”

Why do I feel they are some kind of money laundering scheme?

                • Bruins lost Foligno and Hall, both potentially need surgery and likely done for the season.

Marchand left the game tonight with an injury.

Oof! Bad math. Seems like an awful high risk side on the people paying a contract for that long. Not suggesting he isn’t worth it if he maintains his play.

I don’t think there is that much risk. And it’s not like Boston had much of a choice.

                          • Chris Joihnston of The Star updated his 'trade board' last night.
Already one has been traded. Another was recenlty acquired by his team who look to be trying to 'Quick' him.
Quality seems to be in relatively short supply.
And Karlsson is not on the list.

                            Chris Johnston - The Star

The swirl of activity over the last week has decimated CJ’s Trade Deadline Big Board. Virtually all of the top names are already wearing new sweaters, leaving the remaining shoppers with less than normal to choose from. Here’s a look at those still in play.

                            1. James van Riemsdyk, Flyers - Age: 33 | Position: LW - Contract status: $7-million (U.S.) cap hit, pending UFA

                            2. John Klingberg, Ducks - Age: 30 | Position: RD - Contract status: $7-million cap hit, pending UFA

                            3. Brock Boeser, Canucks - Age: 25 | Position: RW - Contract status: $6.65-million cap hit through 2024-25

                            4. Max Domi, Blackhawks - Age: 27 | Position: C/LW - Contract status: $3-million cap hit, pending UFA

                            5. Joel Edmundson, Canadiens - Age: 29 | Position: LD - Contract status: $3.5-million cap hit through 2023-24

                            6. James Reimer, Sharks - Age: 34 | Position: G - Contract status: $2.25-million cap hit, pending UFA

                            7. Conor Sheary, Capitals - Age: 30 | Position: LW - Contract status: $1.5-million cap hit, pending UFA

                            8. Filip Zadina, Red Wings - Age: 23 | Position: RW/LW - Contract status: $1.825-million cap hit through 2024-25

                            9. Dmitri Kulikov, Ducks - Age: 30 | Position: LD - Contract status: $2.25-million cap hit, pending UFA

.10. Vladislav Namestnikov, Sharks - Age: 30 | Position: LW - Contract status: $1.25-million cap hit, pending UFA

                            11. Sean Monahan, Canadiens - Age: 28 | Position: C - Contract status: $6.375-million cap hit, pending UFA . A memo distributed to the NHL’s 32 general managers this week hurt the market on a player like Monahan since it discouraged teams from trading for injured players with the intent of stashing them on LTIR until the playoffs.

                            12. Justin Holl, Maple Leafs - Age: 31 | Position: RD - Contract status: $2-million cap hit, pending UFA. If the Leafs decide to make another addition they’ll likely have to clear out salary and Holl could be the odd man out. The team currently has nine defencemen on its NHL roster and he’s a pending UFA.

                            13. J.T. Miller, Canucks - Age: 29 | Position: C - Contract status: $5.25-million cap hit this season, then $8-million through 2029-30

                            • From your list, I think Max Domi had been traded last night . . .

8 Hours of Trade Centre . . . when you have nothing else to show . . .

Your Home is a guy who has 9 goals this year and makes $7M . . .
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.
