We've hosted Sunday dinners for 15 years. I noticed people increased their personal drinking and weed smoking during the Covid period of enforced estrangement.

2 weeks ago I floated to our usual dinner suspects that this BBQ season will feature the novel BYOB.
There was a pause, and then a ,"yeah sure, of course"
Sometimes things have to be said out loud..

Thank you. 25 years ago, everyone I hung with smoked. And drank, of course. Now I can't think of any one friend or work colleague that smokes.
As a host it's tricky too: what is your responsibility if someone drinks at the BBQ, drives, and hurts themselves or worse.

Great job. Bet you wondered when you started this path if you'd still be able to do it. A lot of people do. Stevie Ray had those thoughts until someone told him to stop worrying and start playing. He conquered the fear.
