โ€œMember or member sponsoring this guestโ€ฆ.โ€ Left that an open question. But at a private club for certain whoever it was will be known to the club.

I can only think that someone will call this stunt into question under member code of conduct rules. It will be difficult for the club to just overlook this, especially given the publicity it brings.

Also, we tend to forget that someone died in the incident.

Some kind of suspension / expulsion is about to happen.

I was hoping to read the officer has been relieved of his duties. I still am upset that Scheffler let this clown off and the department. The video showed he made a false arrest and lied in the police report, but now according to him that Scottie and he are "buddies".

They might not be laughing when the local police decide that tight enforcement in the area of the club, and that vehicle in particular, is in the public interest.

Heโ€™s already made a complete fool of himself to an international audience. As foolish as it looks from the outside I canโ€™t be surprised heโ€™s unable to admit how stupid he is.

Crazy - although I think we all knew he wasn't the sharpest knife in the toaster....

I'm sure that Scottie is impressed to be on a first-name basis with the guy who falsely accused him of several serious crimes.

This is the kind of cop who drove the invention of the body-cam. Video is a bad cop's Kryptonite, as we saw here.

I wonder if the key officer will still be working with this department a few months from now? Even if he is, my guess is that it would be a gamble leaving him on the street. An office job should be in his future where interaction with the public is minimized.
