  • Official - What's for Dinner? - Thread!!

Since golf season is slowly coming to a close... actually finished for me... I thought I would start the "What's for Dinner??"... thread.

I am fortunate enough to run my own business from home so I have a little more time than most and have always been a fan of the culinary arts...

So basically.. let's all post "What's for dinner??".... Only stipulation is that you must have cooked it yourself, and you should try and acompany a picture so we can all drool! Yes... cooked it yourself... I don't care if its mac and cheese... post it LOL.

This can be a running thread over the winter so post what you cook and when you cook it at anytime!

Feel free to share recipes and wine lists...

    I will start...

Had my parents over last night for Halloween Dinner... I made:

Beef Tenderloin Steak with Red Wine reduction on Wild Mushroom Risotto, Seven Oaks J.Lohr Cab... my personal favorite! Also had a South African Shiraz called Fish Hoek.. its actually named after the town my father was born in!

Dessert was a simple English Style Crepe's with Lemon and Cinnamon Sugar!

Today was nice and relaxing Sunday.... so I made:

Chicken Marsala on Sour Cream Mash.. and Fuzion Shiraz (last bottle from the case) lol

Looking forward to seeing my fellow nuts creations!

This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

sorry, missed your question on how it was..i see many on here that are practically wine experts...at least from the way they talk...i dont claim to have a fancy pallate...all i know is some taste too oaky to me, or acidicvinegar taste if its not right to me.
this blend was suprisingly good. i like dry wine but it has that lively fruity taste shiraz gives you, but with a smooth easy drinking merlot...i already have plans to grab a few more bottles from the LCBO where i bought it. Try it , i dont know your tastes, but very smooth.

Seared duck breast with a onion/tomato/white wine reduction
Simple olive oil/balsamic dressing on mixed greens and goat cheese

(The reduction goes great on schnitzel as well)
