And that finish will take her over the $9 million mark in career earnings.
On another note I’m not sure how anyone could suggest she needs new coaching or another caddie.

LOL - I've had the same thought.

She's got a lot of wins, money and a major under the current setup. Most golfers don't have that much success.

Still..... I wish she'd work with one of the great putting coaches for a day or a week or a month and see if she can improve there.

I sure wouldn't change the caddie.

4th in GIR, 64th in putting GIR...

While the "eye test" might show that Brooke's putting is often not the strongest part of her game, "Putts Per GIR" is really a useless stat.

One could say the same about GIR. A player that hits greens but leaves 50 foot putts is not likely going to be high in putts per GIR rating. They are both somewhat flawed. A combination of proximity on each GIR and GIR might be a better stat (just like sand saves is a combination of sand play and putting).

              • She was lower on overall putting too, so yes she can improve there. A couple of tantalizing misses Sunday.

Inbee missed a few on the back nine also. I don't see anyone telling her she needs a putting coach. Saying that personally I think if she has an issue it's with her wedges. That almost all she has most times into greens and 25 foot putts with a wedge in your hand from a pro, just isn't really that good. Make that 10 feet closer like the men and she will certainly climb the ranking...IMHO

                  • Looks like someone else has noticed Brooke's putting woes!

Buoyed by a lesson and blessing from 94-year-old Shirley Spork, Brooke Henderson is in contention for the second consecutive week on the LPGA.

I believe Brooke is addicted to golf....generally speaking...if she's not playing on tour....I think she plays quite a bit of golf in her "off time"...obviously this would change IF indeed she starts a family.

Obviously this initiative is a bit of continual self promotion...but it's great if Brooke is playing that she's spending more time with juniors...KUDOS!

                              Certainly not her best season

106th in putting average and 118th in sand saves isn't good.

On the other hand, she is 9th in the Race to the CME Globe and has a win, 5 top tens and only missed one cut, so not a complete disaster. She has won close to a million dollars, so it is not like she has to dip into her savings to cover her expenses.

9th place in the Race is fine, since all points reset for the final and everyone in the field has an equal chance.

                              EDIT:

Unfortunately, next year might not be a lot better if the LPGA starts limiting club lengths to 46 inches. I expect it will take Brooke some time to adjust to using an (at least) two-inch-shorter driver. (Off-the-shelf G400s are 45-3/4") The PGA Tour and USGA are using the new rule in January, but while the LPGA has said that they will be changing too, they have only said it will be sometime after 2021.

From the PING website, the specs on Brooke's driver:
                              https://ping.com/en-us/pros/lpga-tour/brooke-henderson
                              G400 Driver : 9 @7.7, small -, Tour AD-VR 5X, 48", D8+, Custom 360 ID8 aqua grip +1 wrap

Brooke's never been a great putter...kinda Lexi like.
