  • LPGA Reshuffles 2019 Priority List!

The LPGA had its first reshuffle of its Priority List this week. While most of the players moved up or down a few insignificant spots, there were some very significant moves also.

    For full story:

  • #2
Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi are turning pro for the US Women's Open. They were in Category 14 (Top 45 Q-School) in the January priority list.

Now Jennifer is #126 in Category 11 (Nos. 81-100 on last year's money list), right behind Brittany Marchand. Maria gets a spot (#159) near the bottom of the Current-Year Reshuffle.

It seems that the deal with deferring your status until school ends is that they get to keep the same priority list number they start they year with (they are put into whatever category would give them that number on the list).

Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi deferred their professional status after competing in last year's LPGA Q-Series. This week the two will be teeing it up in the U.S. Women's Open for the first time as professionals. What does this mean for the two players for as they start their LPGA career? As determined under the amateur membership deferral regulation policy both players are entitled to the number on the priority list they earned during LPGA Q-Series. The reshuffle puts Kupcho in Category 11 and Fassi in Category 13 allowing each an opportunity to improve their standings ahead of the final reshuffle.
EDIT: Tony, I see this was discussed in the comments to your post.
