Some decent first rounds for most of the Canadians

    T10 Mackenzie Hughes 65
    T10 David Hearn 65
    T23 Nick Taylor 66
    T40 Roger Sloan 67
T55 Mike Weir 68 (playing on a sponsor exemption)
    T129 Michael Gligic 72

Overall scoring was 68.32, 68.71 early and 67.93 late according to the PGA Tour

Michael Gligic, David Hearn and Roger Sloan and did pretty well in the December reshuffle and moved up to 6th, 7th and 13th in their priority group of 47 players that didn't make the playoffs but were exempt last year (the priority group usually reserved for Korn Ferry graduates). #40 and 41 in the group got into the field this week as alternates.

The next reshuffle is Feb 21.

    66 for Weirsy today. Nice!

This is a great tournament to attend. Might be one of the easiest courses to walk on tour. Tickets are cheap, free shuttle from Waikiki (at least when I was there), food and beer also reasonable priced.

Can David Hearn not finish a round. 6 under yesterday they bogies the 17th then today he's even but after yesterday still in good shape to at least make the cut, then bam, a double on 18th which could easily be a trunk slammer for him this week. Im a fan of David but this is typical of him not being able to finish rounds. Always seems to bogey a hole or two coming in and just puts him behind the 8ball. I don't know who his mental coach is but it needs to be changed. It's just so frustrating that it happens so often to him.

Before I went to bed I flipped the TV over to golf and saw Nick's finishing hole #9 and excellent use of the rules to his favour -> turning a bogey or worse, into a birdie and a 2 shot lead. A crowded leaderboard at the top so he needs to keep the pedal down. Let's go Nick !

Hideki just made one of the best 3-wood shots I have ever seen. Glad I stayed up.

Corey Conners, solo 11th for a cool $189,375!

                          And Adam Svensson T7 earning ~ $228k.

Hideki dialed back with a 3W off the tee after seeing Henley in the bunker off the tee. That second 3W into the sun set the bar pretty high so far as "shot of the year".
