I don't even want to ask more questions . . . might have to go through a lawyer. Good for you, this is absolutely crazy. Either you have nice parents or a very, very good job. I am more with you . . . we have a green 125 yards elevated . . . I would say I hit the green around 60% to 70% . . . and a good 10% to 15% of the time, the ball backspin off the front of the green down the hill . . . It is not a very hard shot . . . so 20% of the time I might miss the green completely . . . not sure if it is even that much . . .

Note: at 65 sometime we also have a short memory . . .
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Too funny, caddie Luke Hopkins was in the caddie contest at 17.
Night before he sends this text, then look at the leaderboard from the contest.

          His new nickname is Nostradamus.

Watching the Fleetwood/Pendrith/Tarren this morning as they were putting on 16.

They had to hold off and watch the action on 17 which is very near and gets a lot of crowd noise (someone got a hole in one while they watched) even this early in the tourney when the bleachers are quite empty.

I really like 17 because it's quite scenic with the little island with the palm(?) tree, the symmetry of the green and its tiny pot bunker front and centre, and how it looms over every player's round. No matter what your position is on the leaderboard, it can go very sideways with a single swing there and it's too late to recover after that.

FWIW I (mid-teens HC) hit it easily (luckily) in the Wooden Sticks version.

I play a course that by coincidence I am sure, has a hole very close to 16. I used to have the same big tree guarding the left side of the green but that got blown down last spring in the wind storm.

I think I know the hole ( 8 - Meadows North? ), but I don't recall the tree being an issue anywhere close to the tree on # 16 Stadium.

It could be because almost any time I played that hole, it was in a scramble.

                      Good guess.

Yes, the tree was not quite in play as much, unless you are on the left side of the fairway. I just always found the similarities rather striking.

Had to get there in 2, so a layup to around 100 yds on the right side of the fairway is usually the play.

Wow - I'm surprised they are all over par. I thought these guys were good.

I guess par 3's really aren't "scoring holes".

The players are good, and the score keepers are exceptional, tracking the averages to 14 significant digits!

4 players so far have hit the rinse cycle twice.

Ramey was sitting nice at -9 until he got to 17 and dropped 4 shots.

And we have another weather delay. Another week and the PGA tour can't complete round 2 before Friday sunset.
