TGN Fantasy: 2022 Season League

In 2 weeks, we have a choice of tournaments to play in our weekly Fantasy Golf League.

We can play The Genesis Scottish Open (purse $8,000,000) or The Barbasol Championship (purse $3,700,000). The Barbasol Championship is basically a second field event.

The biggest factor for me is that The Genesis Scottish Open will have a much better field.

Given the purse size of the Barbasol, it will probably become one of the throwaway tournaments for most of the people in the league.

I spoke with TrGo , and we're going with the Genesis Scottish Open. Better field, better purse.

On the downside, the deadline for making your picks will be ~1:30 AM - 2:00 AM ET on Thursday July 7th.

FWIW, I've noticed 2 things this year amongst all of the various leagues. Now that were down to the playoffs, and it's now less of a factor, I'll share..

1) People don't pay enough attention to FedEx Cup rankings. (this is the case year after year)

2) People were slow to get onboard with this year's crop of young bucks. (I'm guilty of that)

The purses for each of the final 3 events is $15 million, with $2.7 million going to the winner of each event.
