  • Back Shop/ Outside Services Attendant @ Credit Valley

    The Credit Valley Golf and Country Club is looking for hardworking individuals to join the Golf Operations Department for the 2019 golf season. We are looking for people to be part of a great team and strive to deliver the best possible customer service experience for the membership on a daily basis. Positions that are available are part-time back shop positions with room to advance in the future based on performance.

    General
    • Maintaining the cleanliness and proper storage of member golf clubs
    • Maintaining the cleanliness and charging of our electric cart fleet, and keeping them stocked with the necessary golfers accessories
    • Pulling bags and loading clubs according to the tee sheet
    • Maintaining inventory of towels
    • Keeping all inside and outside Back Shop areas presentable and neat
    • Maintaining constant radio contact with Pro Shop and Starter in order to keep pace with member requests
    • Reporting any hazardous working conditions to the Professional Staff
    • Assisting in the set-up, execution and completion of club tournaments
    • Upholding club policy, reporting any violations to the Professional Staff for enforcement
    • Upholding and enforcing the principles, objectives, and duties set forth in the Golf Operations Manual, reporting any violations to the Professional Staff
    • Available for any additional tasks, as directed by the Head Professional
    • Always keep busy. During slow times be initiative and find jobs to do
    • Maintain divot bottles, keeping rack near first tee full

    Power Carts / Pull Carts
    • Responsible for the nightly cleaning and charging procedures for the power cart fleet
    • Responsible for observing fleet for damage or malfunctions on a nightly basis, reporting any required maintenance to the Professional Staff
    • Responsible for observing the condition of pull carts on a nightly basis, reporting any required maintenance to the Professional Staff

    Required Knowledge and Skills
    • Fluent in English - a confident communicator
    • Positive in attitude while performing duties
    • A self-starter with lots of initiative
    • Able to complete tasks involving physical labour - carrying clubs and lifting into storage (up to 15 kilograms)
    • Able to be constantly walking, carrying and standing in order to carry, clean, and store clubs as required
    • A good team player, but also able to competently complete tasks independently
    • Confident with numbers
    • Generally handy with equipment and tools
    • A basic knowledge of golf
    • Minimum Grade 10 education

      As long as you are performing well at work, that there is. Busy place, with lots of member play though, so not worth advertising it as a place where you can play at will. It is the members' course first and it is our privilege to play here, not our right. You are always welcome to play or practice if it does not impede the membership, access to the tee becomes the issue for our Staff when members fill up the tee sheet.

      Hope that does not deter, but there is no point in sugar coating it on TGN.
