  • Clublink Closing dates 2018?

Did a quick search, did not find anything but may have missed it. Anyone?

I gather Grandview closes this weekend (Sunday Oct 14th the starter told me).

A google search brought a memo dated Oct 23 for 2017 for the status of various CL courses last year.

    Tnx.

As always, Clublink uses 2 factors. Weather, and end of season employment for a majority of seasonal staff. Glencairn rumors 11th November. Northern courses always much earlier due to frost conditions. Don't hold your breath for an update. Long range forecast is cold for next few weeks.
Season went by way, way, way too fast.

Was at Wyndance Tuesday and Mike said the scheduled date is October 28, if the weather allows they will push it to Nov 4.

the relative long range forecast wouldn't seem to indicate a longer season, but they (weather forecasters) have been wrong many times
Every great idea starts out as a blasphemy

Looks like they released the closing schedule on the 23rd again this year. Some of the courses are already closing this weekend, I don't recall last year, but I believe my course (Glendale) is closing a bit earlier this year.

                      Rolling Hills on November 4th?
We played it until mid-December in 2017.

Are they expecting an early and harsh winter?

And why later than many of their higher end courses?

These are tentative dates, or in ClubLink's words: "Closing dates are subject to change and weather permitting. "

Certain courses marked by double asterisk in the chart posted above are re-opening:

"** Course will re-open on Nov. 3-4 weekend, weather permitting"

When is their pro shop blow out sale?

I mean, what damage can we late season golfers do to Rolling Hills?
We played it last year with about 2 inches of snow on the greens. And had an absolute blast. Had to use the old orange balls or they would get lost under the snow.
