  • Players Club courses ranking

    Hey nuts,
Me and 3 other partners joined CL players club. We got 6 passes that we can use at following courses. So far we played National Pines. Which of the following are worth a visit. Got 5 passes to use. TIA.

    Bond Head (played many times),
    Cherry Downs (played many times),
    Hidden Lake (played many times),
    Rolling Hills (played many times),
    Caledon Woods (haven't been),
Eagle Ridge (haven't been), Glendale (haven't been),
Station Creek (played once long time ago),
National Pines (played a few times),
    Grandview (haven't been).

I guess the question is which of these should we play Glendale, Grandview, Eagle Ridge, Caledon Woods and Station Creek?

Grandview is a must and Eagle Ridge is good.

Well: not knowing your preference in type of courses your group likes, willingness to travel, walkability factors etc, my answer is: You have five passes. Five courses. Play them all and form your own opinion for future revisits.

That is what I did last year (also as a Players Club member), and I made repeat visits to those that I liked or were closer when that mattered.

I must say that I picked a gorgeous day to drive up to play Grandview and that was a highlight for me for a bunch of reasons, including the golf. But crappy weather and a less fortunate pairing could also have made quite a difference.

I doubled up on Eagle Ridge (closest by) and walked it the second time for variety. It was a hoot.

        Also liked Glendale.

Was glad I played the other two but established my own preferences.

        .

I re-upped on the Players Club this year (to the Advantage - 10 passes)

I would rank them in this order...
            1. Grandview
            2. Glendale
            3. Eagle Ridge
            4. National Pines - not a fan
            5. Station Creek
            6. Caledon Woods
Every great idea starts out as a blasphemy

I'd like to know too. I loved BH when I was a member there.

Grandview is the only must play on that list in my opinion.

Thanks all. This list is kind of what I gathered from responses. Will hit the top 3 and maybe Station Creek because of its close proximity.

I'd play NP over Grandview any day of the week.

Most who dont like NP its because its a difficult track. Hands down one of the best courses in CL.

I used to play NP quite a bit (before it was ClubLink), just one of those courses that doesn't 'do it' for me....like Copetown Woods & Osprey Heathlands

I can think of 5 that are much better.....but to each their own I suppose

Seems a bit backwards TBH. Not sure how Caledon Woods is behind SC, ER, GD. National Pines is one of the top Clublink courses... Should be Platinum if it weren't so far out of the city.

There's no "gimmicky" holes, the greens mid season are some of the best in clublink in terms of condition, its fair but tough. I just don't think out of the courses you listed its the worst, its definitely better than eagle ridge.
