    Club refinishing tips please.

    I wish to refinish two old Daiwa clubs(3 and 5 wood).
    Should I remove original paint with thinner/solvent or use a buffer wheel?
    Is a primer required?
    What type/brand of paint is best to apply(I want to refinish in black)?
    Gloss after painting?
    Any help is much appreciated.

        I used aircraft aluminum paint stripper, from an auto parts store.
