  • Regripping.... Any tips for first time attempt?

I usually have Jeff do my grips but wanted to try for myself. Any tips for a newbie? Been reading and watching YouTube videos and it seems easy enough.

Looking to do it for cheap so not looking to buy a compressor. So far I only have a vise and cutter blade.

Where do you buy the tools and grips from? Golfworks seems to have everything.

called few places and nobody carries anything on hand....

golfworks canada looks like the best bet.

buying most tools at HD...only thing i can't find is the shaft clamp. A pipe clamp might work, will be looking during lunch.

Looks like you have everything you need. I've regripped a set of clubs without a vice. I regripped a putter in the parking lot at Indian Wells before a round!

Just be sure to use lots of solvent on both the tape and inside the grip.

Last time I was at their shop they had some golf regripping tools and supplies. You can probable contact them by phone to see if they have the stuff. Good Luck.

Just did a grip and it's pretty easy. Using a heat gun makes getting old tape off easy. Hardest part is alignment.

just tried blowing off a grip with a compressor and it's a breeze. Installing on the other hand isn't as easy.

A little solvent or hair spray will help with installation

I usually use a sharpie and put a small mark on the shaft for alignment before I remove the old grips...makes the install that much easier.

I install everything grips down specifically so I dont have to worry about alignment.

many grips have alignment markings on both sides
