Is this shaft done?

Well went to the sim the other day. When putting driver back in my bag i noticed cracks in the shaft. I didnt hit anymore shots with it out of caution.

What are your thoughts is this done for or can i still use it?

Thanks Peter for the quick reply. Thats what i cant tell, if its paint or fibres. I feel as if its the fibres and epoxy holding the shaft together breaking. Id assume paint wouldnt come off in a thin strip like that.

No, unlikely paint would strip like that so probably some shaft material in there.

It's hard to tell from the pics how much shaft material is peeling.

look closely to see if there are cracks into the shaft , you could also try tapping the shaft on the ground and see if there is a vibration noise which typically signals a crack.
If not, and you really want to save the shaft you could try a little patch fix with some flexible epoxy mix, something like extension epoxy, not sure though how well that would hold and last

if you are in my hood stop by and I can have a closer look but my guess is it's toast

Ya maybe if im out on monday ill drop you a text and bring it by. It makes no noise when i bang it on the ground. When i flex it i see no noise but looks like the paint crack continues. But it sure doesnt look like a paint crack to me.

It's beyond Duct-tape.
On the bright side, it opens a barn full of shafts, that aren't an arm and a leg, for you to try.

I didnt. I dont know if id feel comfortable playing it though. As others said im sure it doesnt have many swings left.

I wouldn't play that. I had one sever right in that spot on the last of an 81 hole weekend. Luckily head stayed right by the tee. Ball went a straight 220ish.
