  • Adapter question for driver shaft

Hoping someone here can help with this question. I have a shaft that was originally fitted for a Ping 400 Max Driver. I would like to try it on a Titleist TSR driver. I presume I need a different adapter. Not sure if there also are issues with insertion depth and any other watch outs.
What is the best way to go about doing this? And - will Golf Town handle something like this? Thanks.

Yes you need a Titleist adapter to fit a Titleist driver.

If there is any difference you may lose a small amount of length but if tip to end of grip are the same then should be the same length in the head.

As I recall, Ping and Titleist have the same BBGM measurement, meaning they will play to the same length with an adapter installed. Also, most Ping driver heads are a bit heavier than other manufacturers, which works with their stock Alta shafts that are counterbalanced. So you may find the swing-weight of the TSR driver to be a bit low from what you were used to with the Ping head -> easily remedied by some lead tape or a heavier head weight then the stock 9g in Titleist. ( check AliExpress for cheap weights )

Tip: Buy a quality OEM adapter if you can. Maybe GT has some used pulls in stock or can certainly order one for you.
