I always thought he was italian if we're thinking of the same guy... also one time he was so angry cause he kept topping his blades that he was basically sitting on the mat head buried in hands and gasping for air... it was a little pathetic

this guy sounds like a perfect 4th!

I have not seen this dude ever. What time does he normally practice? I want to witness this.

          Evenings on weekdays.

He has a reputation amongst the regulars for bit a tempered wanker.

He carries and acts like he is a tour pro. Ball striking leaves much to be desired, both in technique, impact, and flight. But maybe he enjoys hitting blades poorly and drivers that don't make the mesh wall. You'll spot him right away.

If we start posting signs, then we defeat the main objective of Canada and that is to help these folk integrate.
People could help by taking the time to explain the meaning of the signs. Have done this myself and 99% of the time get apologies and they stop. The key is communication and more of the same.

              Re: Range etiquette

Unfortunately I think our Country accommodates more so than integrate people into Canadian society.

But now that I think of it I don't think any amount of signage will prevent people from chipping on the putting green. People just don't bother to read the signs period or choose to ignore it altogether. I've witness the groundskeeper telling people many times and pointing at the sign but they still continue to chip. Also when he's pressing the greens down people still continue to putt. Come on people just stop putting for a few minutes and let the guy press the greens. A little common sense goes a long way.

I also think ranges should put up signs in Queen's English 'Relax, life is short. Enjoy.'

                  2 things:

First I have headphones in normally with music or talk radio to drown out people. I find it also helps me on the course because if people are rude and talk in my back swinging I'm not as affected by it. Just makes you able to shut out the noise.

Second my favorites when that happens and guy is giving his buddy tips but both of them not now jack about anything... It's like the blind leading the blind.

The conversation carried on for the next 3-5 minutes and made no attempt in either keeping the noise down or taking the conversation elsewhere that would cause a lot less distraction to me and others.

Is this acceptable and what would you have done?

I'm going to start bringing a pair of construction grade earplugs just to prepare myself for A*holes like that
