Re: How close to your course?

Was 45 minutes to Dalewood - got REALLY tired of that drive by about July (after 3 months). Now 15mins tops to Oshawa. As already stated, it is nice to be close enough that you don't feel you're wasting your time only going to the range or to play a few holes...or if you forget something, you can go home and still make your tee time.

15-20 minutes to Kings Riding, Diamondback, The Country Club, Emerald Hills, Bethesda Grange, and Cherry Downs.

No need to I can always walk home if needed (and after some Men's Nights I do)

For me, being so close to the golf course was a key factor when I moved to this house 7 years ago...
To golf, or not to golf? What a stupid question!

20 minutes for the time being, but it might be about 2km (less than 5 mins) if I play my cards right.

Not a member but I have no problem with the 30-40 minute drive to Burlington/Hamilton area in the west or Angus Glen-type distance to the east. On the way there is always the anticipation of a good round, and on the way back remembering the good shots and more important, that it's just a game.

But would you want to do that 3+ times a week (with range time)?

about 10 minutes... and play almost everyday. Sometime 7 holes, or just range, or 13 holes.... can leave at 7:30 at night and play 9 or 13 holes easily... being close will encourage you to play a lot more!!
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.
