Re: What in the world is wrong with people? Course behavior?

One time while out on a very long run I did some very bad things under a bush in a pretty public place. It was early Sunday morning and there were no other options. Sometimes the situation becomes THAT bad. After that episode I carried a baggie with wet naps on long runs.

If this was seen on the 17th hole, the squatter was within walking distance to the clubhouse. This should have been avoided.

Maybe the guy was on his way back to the half way house and just couldn't hold it any longer? Sure, the sight of that would be unpleasant, but honestly, what did they see? Some guy squatting with his shorts down? Not sure it's that horrific. We do that on public courses all the time. No, no we don't actually.

BTW, who here hasn't forced one out before their tee time to avoid returning to the club house? Good way to get roids though.

Quite the conversation. I'm guessing this thread goes to 5 pages.

I think we need more information to determine whether it was a medical condition.

Did anyone inspect the stool? Was it loose or firm? And if firm, was it a chunky firm or a smooth firm? How about colour? Tarry, light, or medium? What did it smell like?

Please answer before spas1 goes for lunch.

FWIW, I completely agree with the OP's disgust at this situation, but I'm not sure that there is a 'right section to post this in'. That is, is this really an appropriate topic for the board? Just sayin'....

I think it is. It might be gross, but it's about on-course behaviour, and given that people doing a #1 while playing is common, a discussion of whether #2 is appropriate doesn't seem out of order. Everybody poops, we all golf ... so knowing where to draw the line seems okay to me.

That's just my opinion. If people are put out by the topic, maybe a "content warning" in the thread title would be appropriate?

(As for the right section, I think this is fine, but it could also go in the "etiquette" section. That tends to lean more "rules" than "etiquette," though.)

During a charity tourney a couple of years back, electing to have some class, I only pee'd (sorry, urinated) in the on-course washroom. You can imagine how many beers that was. Only this one time I left the door open. I mean, I didn't think anyone would walk in on me, and what if they did? We're all guys. Only problem was that this time, a woman walked in as I was zipping up... annnnnddd, she introduced herself as the Golf Course Owner ... but didn't shake my hand

In the end, it's biodegradable. It's just a smellier and more visible version of taking a leak in the trees, which I've seen countless golfers do, and which I would guess the vast majority of people here have done.
Again if they were trapped in a course far away from facilities ok benefit of doubt. But as I mentioned they passed a portable on 15, 16-18 is further than 16 to 10 plus they played 15, 16,17, and 18 so I'm not buying it or not giving any excuse.

Knowing someone personally with IBS you get warnings it just doesn't sneak up on you with out any notice I.e, gas passes, stomach noise, turns etc. I'm calling BS.

Not sure any one would have any idea as they likley didn't ask for their papers to play golf.......but I wouldn't think new Canadians at least not the members as they were privious members at Mandrian who should know better as I am sure that doesn't happen there

I draw the line on visible 2ply in the treeline, but do you know how the battery powered contraption you use on the course might get charged in the future?

You might one day be able to charge your smartphone while urinating, using a new fuel cell developed by British researchers.

To make matters worse they explained this was/is obviously not something of an emergency as he even had his own roll of toilet paper. Which aside from the stool sample he also left a mess of the toilet paper in the tress.
