  • Low round of the yr!

Played Sleepy Hollow today with another Nutter. Course is in good shape. Greens were average speed. Still redoing some bunkers on the back 9. Looking good.
    Played the tips.
Started the day with a driver down the middle of fairway ( very foreign to me).
Only swung driver about 70% and the ball was in play . May need to keep doing this?
This course makes me hit 3 wood several times which was needed practice.
I scrambled 6 times for pars.
Duffed 2 drives and stiffed wedges on 3rd shots for par .
Got a few breaks along the way.
#11 is my fav hole on the course.
    37 -38 for 75.
My first sub 80 round in 2 months.
Maybe I can play this silly game.
I will enjoy now as Nat Pines might humble me tomorrow.
    Thanks again Ken.
    Enjoyed the day.

    well done !

I like Sleepy, its a great short course and very getable if you hit the ball straight and have some touch on the greens.

Good luck at NPines, a 75 from the tips there would be impressive.

That would probably work at most courses.

Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

        Touché .

some courses you can spray it and still do well
Others have big and relatively easy green's so you can putt ok and do well.

        sleepy isn't either IMO

            I hear ya !

I hit about 4 fairways per round coz I attempt to lash it everytime. If I could just hold back on the throttle, I'd probably score much better.

            Great round.

What other people may find in poetry or art museums, I find in the flight of a good drive.

75!! very impressive. It sounds like your wedge/short game saved you.
I find that's usually the case when you shoot a good score is when the chipping and putting is on. As long as you don't get O/B from the tee :P

I’m not playing you for money, but let me know if you need a Scramble partner. 74 not far behind.
