There is also Toula which is in the Westin Harbourfront hotel. The view is nice, I have been there a few times.

As Iggy mentioned, Canoe can be very business man dominated, and if it's even open on weekends...it is a ghost town. I love the food, but something to consider when selecting a romantic date spot.

Sorry for my brain fart earlier, I was thinking of Tula at the top of the Westin Harbour Castle, not Harbour 60.

Scaramouche. Pretty expensive but amazing everything.

Here's another vote for Scaramouche. Very romantic. Canoe is strictly 'business'. By now I'm sure you have got the message.

To be honest, it's been a couple of years since I last ate there. But Joanne Kates has voted it best in the city for the 2nd year in a row, so it's not going to be all that bad....

It’s impossible to budge Scaramouche from the #1 spot because it is Toronto’s world-class restaurant, the only place where food, service and atmosphere dovetail to create the most luxe dining experience in town. Chef/owner Keith Froggett walks the fine line between trendy and classic; he buys the finest ingredients in the world and his touch is superbly deft. He strews fresh green fava beans over gossamer ravioli stuffed with Dungeness crab in delicate shellfish broth. Perfectly grilled lobster goes Asian, scented with coconut, shiitake, ginger and sesame. He wraps elk in bacon with mushroom flan, wild leeks, small beets, with a red wine glaze and crunchy mustard cream. Top that, young‘uns.

Meh. At $285 for dinner for two it's....

15 years ago I liked it but the last time I went was very dissapointed. The food was mediocre and it felt like a tourist trap.

Oddly enough 15 - 20 years ago I did not like 360 in the CN Tower but now would choose it for out of town guests any day of the week over Toula.

As others mentioned, Scaramouche and a few others will be better than either for food, hands down.

If you choose CN Tower, keep in mind your dinner includes your elevator ride (on a separate elevator as well) so you can mentally deduct the elevator fee and hassle of waiting in line from the cost of the meai. Also, even though this time of year it is early, book a reservation about 30 minutes before sunset. Go up in daylight, and eat while the sun sets and watch the lights come up in the city. Check the weather forecast, if it is a low cloud celing, do not bother, you will see nothing, you want a clear day.

Last suggestion, do not let your wife set her purse down on the ledge by the window for reasons that would become obvious in 5 minutes.

IF your wife wants a view in Toronto, the 360 view is hands down the best. Some may tire of it if they go too often, but for the first time visitors to the tower, it is a fantastic view. Lastly on Toula, it no longer rotates, so wherever you are seated, such as staring into a condo, is what you get.
