Miserable weather, sizeable green fee, and a long journey to get there? I could live with two out of the three, but not all of them. Unless the course were Augusta.

I’m in a similar boat except a cheaper course. I think I’m cancelling for tomorrow.

For that price I am most certainly a fair weather golfer!

Hell yes. Only calling for 1-3mm in the afternoon - barely a sprinkle. Only you know if you can afford the green fee. The drive - well I love to drive so that's a non-factor for me.

10mm Saturday morning will soak the course.

Re: Would you go to this golf outing tomorrow:

Is it a private course that otherwise you can't play? Other things in the area to see and do? With seldom seen friends? Is this a tournament with prizes and meals?

I'd say no, but I'm a fair weather golfer, however there are additional factors I've outlined above that would affect the decision.

I'd wait 'til the morning and see the weather and the hourly forecast in any case.

1-3 mm in afternoon is nothing. Morning forecast doesn't look good, but weather forecasters so often wrong. I voted no, but Mad River would make me see the positives, although $150 is probably low for their guest fees.

This is a great way to justify buying rain Gear! ( or to test out your existing rain gear.) weather should never be a excuse not to play.

Its the 1.5 hour drive that would do me in. If it was a short drive, I would give it a go, but having to drive that far for potentially nothing would drive me nuts

Of course, the weather guys are usually wrong as well, I would try to wait to last second before cancelling just in case weather changes
