Ortiz is a deserving recipient of the MVP award.
This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

It's ironic how the Toronto media was all over Farrell for leaving an "amazing situation" (after the blockbuster trade and all) saying he must be kicking himself for wanting out of Toronto.

I wonder if the Red Sox would have won the World Series with Gibbons as the skipper?

In the end Boston just had too much good hitting throughout the line up and St. Louis didn't have enough.
I was hoping for St. Louis but well done Boston, Ortiz was amazing.

Started out routing for the St Louis , but the Sox won me over with their team spirit and zeal to win. They also just had more batting power. From the beginning of the game last night I thought the Cards had a "deer in the headlight" look.

The Sox knew Wacha does not have his best stuff. So they just sit and wait for his fastball down the middle. Very happy the Sox won. They have more intensity and seems to want it more. Ortiz is a deserving MVP, a one of a kind World Series performance.

Boy, I wish we could get a guy like John Farrell to manage the Jays.

Better yet, trade any one of the Jays better players for Ben Cherington. Without his acumen, the Bosox would not have had the personnel with which to win this year.

Definitely made some shrewd moves. I always liked the addition of guys like Gomes and Napoli. Their depth at the back end of the bullpen - Uehara was their 3rd option at the start of the year - proved to be a huge asset.

I'm a huge fan of Victorino back from the Philly WS run.

I can't stand him. Came up with a couple of big hits, but outside that didn't do anything. I hate that he gets away with being hit by strikes. Umpires need to be aware of this. I'd love to see him get hit and have it called strike 3.

+1 on this. Drives me nuts that he leans into them and it doesn't get called. I was with one of those announcers that said unless they're hurt, the arm guards come off. He just turns that guarded elbow into the strike zone and takes them. Lead the American league this year in hit by pitch.

Yeah, most people hated Kenny Linseman too but I would have wanted him on my team.

Most people that played with him got tired of bailing him out after he kicked, speared, spit on, or bit, someone on the other team.

Fortunately, Victorino cannot be accused of any of those sins.
