    Re: Andrew Wiggins.

Nobody who watched him against Stanford today would have confused Wiggins with a 1st overall pick. Terrible-- 1 for 6, 4 turnovers including 2 in the last 2 minutes with the game on the line, missed wide open 3's, layups... He was practically invisible the whole game.

Freshman March Madness jitters? For those NBA teams that were tanking to get him, lets hope so!

The quality of this entire draft class has been getting debunked. Kudos to guys like Danny Ainge who have been saying all along that he didn't see what was so special.

There certainly is no LeBron apparent in this class.

Danny Ainge, now there's a blast from the plast.
I still remember him dribbling through the whole Notre Dame team to win a game in the dying seconds

Definitely agree there is no Lebron or KD right now in this class....but I will still say that Wiggins in the NBA still of ball is going to flourish...the pick and roll is going to compliment his skills. He can shoot, drive and isn't a terrible passer.

He just needs to grow into his body. If you look at KD, he had a similar type of game in college (granted Texas let him dominate the ball).

I am still thinking Wiggins will be an all-star within three years and will get MVP discussion later in his career.

I liken Wiggins to Scottie Pippen, an excellent all round player. Of course, he has a long way to go to that level.

Wiggins has huge upside but he will need to progress like Paul George did and that is pretty rare.

What I don't understand is the Coach Self not running more plays through him early in the game. Think about this... he took 6 shots... Are you kidding me, give him the ball. I know COach Self kept telling him to stay aggressive but it is hard without the ball.

Because Kansas system is not set up for a ball dominate wing player. They actually like playing from the inside out. As one friend said Self is a excellent recruiter but not a great coach. They went all in on Emibd this year so they did really adjust to his injury. It was Wiggins going to get the ball when he put numbers.

The NBA is basically about 90 percent pick and roll at the top of the key. Wiggins is going to be excellent at that. He will be either able to shoot, drive (needs to get stronger to handle the contact) or pass to the big. He has all those tools.

As for the Paul George reference, Wiggins at this point in his career has way more skill than George. George was 3 star out of HS (not that is always accurate), but played at Fresno State and put up okay numbers against weak comp.

Absolutely, but George progressed on an amazing basis. Wiggins, imo, will need to progress in a very similar fashion. Where he is now is nowhere close to NBA ready.

Yes he can run fast and jump high but these stats are impressive:

AW is so last year now. Take a look at Thon Maker, 16 years old, over 7 feet, point guard skills, and still growing.

It seems like Tyler Ennis (Syracuse) and Embiid (Kansas) are going to the NBA... not really surprise...

We may be getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but Kobe Bryant tweets he's willing to mentor Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins.

According to Bleacher Report, Los Angeles currently has a 21.5 percent chance of landing a top-three pick and a 6.3 percent chance of drafting No. 1 overall. Parker, Wiggins and Kansas big man Joel Embiid are usually considered the three top choices among the 2014 class, and the Lakers have approximately a one-in-five chance of getting one of them.

Might not be - Kobe orchestrated a move to LA in his draft year through his Adidas reps. Wiggins or Parker might do the same, where they basically force the team who drafts them to trade them.
