We're gonna miss the way Gose covers centre field.

So, does Gose catch McCann's 2 out based loaded triple last night and end the 7th inning at 4-2 instead of 7 - 2 ?

I do agree however that if the Jays are a playoff contender then Gose is not ready yet to be everyday CF. They need Rasmus hitting .280 or more.

Gose next year or the year after makes more sense.

I think Gose would've had it, but I also think 4-2 was plenty. You never know what a great catch does for morale though.

Gose makes the catch if he's playing where Colby was and still had a decent jump on the hit. Colby missed it by about 4-8 inches which was too bad.

Awesome. Ya. They're playing some BAD baseball at the moment. I hope them chipping their way back into tonight's game is a sign of things turning around.

I'm headin to NYC in September, and the Jays happen to be there the Thursday before I head home, so I'm hoping it's a meaningful game.

I think we'll hit a Mets game next time to check that out though it may not be til next year. Perhaps the Knicks or the Nets in the fall.

Wow! Perhaps tomorrow we spot the Reds a 10 run lead to make it close.

Hopefully this type of win can turn things around and get us out of this funk.

I know Wilner poo poos the idea but for me I'd play Gose over Rasmus any day. Preventing runs is no different then scoring them. Gose is like a Hoover vacuum in centre field. If the balls in the park he's likely getting to it. I never get that feeling with Colby and his odd home run doesn't offset his lame defence.

Teach Gose to be Willie Mays Hays and hit it on the ground. He's got such great wheels he'll get his share of hits.
