Re: Blue Jays 2015 Thread
I undervalued Estrada coming into this season. I thought he would be a great bullpen arm who could be good for spot starts and starting depth, but I didn't think he'd be able to be this good as a starter. He's not a guy who will pile up innings, but his numbers aren't far off what he did in 2012 and 2013. It seems 2014 was the outlier year. He's pretty darn good. He's been a hell of a lot more value than I thought we'd get from trading Adam Lind.

Re: Blue Jays 2015 Thread
It's worth noting that the minor league season ends on Sept. 7, so if anyone is hoping he can replace Hutchison in the rotation, it's unlikely they'd even attempt to build up Stroman's innings with only 2+ weeks of rehab. It looks like bullpen or bust for 2015. Still ... not a bad option to have.

Re: Blue Jays 2015 Thread
Also, it sounds like Sanchez is going to drop his appeal, likely before tonight's game. He's not available tonight or tomorrow anyway, apparently. Gibby says there are "negotiations" happening, which ... well, I don't know, can you negotiate the length of a suspension without going through the actual appeal? If the suspension somehow gets reduced, Sanchez doesn't miss a game he would have pitched in. If it doesn't get reduced, it's one game in which he's unavailable that he otherwise would have been available for. Let's hope Dickey goes nine on Friday. (Or the bats explode.)

Also.....
Devon Travis is 'feeling better' but a timetable for his return hasn't been set. The Jays are playing it safe after the same injury sidelined him for almost six weeks earlier this season.....and Michael Saunders could rejoin the Blue Jays in September according to Gibbons.
