He makes the other guys act badly in repeating the same question, but his non-answer looks worse.

I voted for him and its positive news, so it falls in the 'because of' bucket. When the whole country gets stoned and economy tanks it will go in the 'despite' bucket.

            More transparency....

Glen McGregor, CTV news correspondent tweeted this:

"I asked the open and transparent Prime Minister's Office for number of employees in each salary range, up to $350,000. Here's the response:"

Can't see anything wrong with those numbers....

              • Canada tops G7 in latest IMF estimate for 2017 economic growth @ 3%.

The International Monetary Fund has raised its estimate for Canada's economic growth rate for this year and 2018, putting it at or near the top of the heap among advanced economies.

Maybe dude is doing something right or at the right place at the right time.

Made using “uh”, “um” and “ah” multiple times in a single sentence cool again.

                            • When we hire a senior level exec, we don't expect them to be fully engaged for at least a year. It just takes that long to learn the company, the clients, the opportunities, issues etc, and we're just a mid-sized company. When a new government comes into power, not only is the leader brand new, but so are a majority of his or her cabinet members. Then, after a mere two years, the re-election machine begins to roll and smart policy is thrown out the window in exchange for whatever it takes to win votes.

Churchill said "democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried". I've heard discussions about the idea that the job of President of the United States is simply too big for one person. To some extent maybe that's true for the PM of Canada as well. They have suggested that countries should be run by a group, wherein the workload of leadership is shared. That idea conjures up memories of the Politburo. But maybe "single leader" democracy does need a rethink.

I think that Justin Trudeau is a good person. He reminds me of Obama. I like the positive message that he conveys. The general sentiment of the populace does matter, and they / we can be swayed towards negativism by a Trump type leader. However, like Obama, it takes more than a positive message to provide good and solid governance. Obama struggled to get things done, which you could blame on the GOP. Justin has a majority government and he should be hitting his stride about now and getting big things done. However, maybe it's too big a job for him, or maybe it will take another term with a majority before we see what he is truly capable of.

Using filler words like that when talking means the speaker is actually pausing to thing about what he is saying. I personally like the idea of a PM who actually takes the time to think.
