This is nice:

Algae blooms are closing waterfronts in South Florida.

Part of the problem is the cozy financial relationship between sugar growers and politicians and runoff from agriculture, hence the "effluenza".

Seems a shame for the residents there that they can't get this worked out.

Add to that, fracking companies have been dumping their waste water unchecked into the gulf for a long time.
