  • Re: Donald Rump - singularly unsuited to be POTUS

Interesting article in the NY Times this morning.

    Trump is nothing new.

Bal Keshav Thackeray, who rode to power on a wave of outrageous stories, bluster, bigotry and showmanship, might explain Donald J. Trump.

"Since the election, hate crimes have risen by 115 percent in New York, Mr. Trump’s birthplace and my home since I was fourteen. What happens if the violent incitement of Mr. Trump’s campaign continues into his presidency?"

      Wow; an excerpt:

After the Bombay riots, one of his followers told me that Mr. Thackeray had powertoni, their contraction of “power of attorney”: the awesome ability to act on someone else’s behalf, to sign documents, to have people killed. Powerless factory workers in Ohio and coal miners in Kentucky see Mr. Rump as the man with powertoni. Every time your hero, your attorney, humiliates the good and the great, you feel a swell of pride; you feel, in your shabby house with the leaky roof, that you have obtained a measure of power, in Manhattan, in Washington.

Like i said previously, me thinks a grassy knoll could be overlooked by the 17 ( disparaged) Intel agencies come Jan 20th...

It would be appropriate sedition -- in response to a seditionist. (Sigh.)

It would seem that one of Trump's senior advisors, who is a specialist in communications, doesn't know how to make attributions in her 'writings'.

Perhaps she also helped with Melania's speech at the RNC....

The review of Crowley's June 2012 book, "What The (Bleep) Just Happened," found upwards of 50 examples of plagiarism from numerous sources, including the copying with minor changes of news articles, other columnists, think tanks, and Wikipedia. The New York Times bestseller, published by the HarperCollins imprint Broadside Books, contains no notes or bibliography.

"No notes or bibliography" is just the beginning.

I think Rump's team is batting below the Mendoza Line.

Me thinks the trump camp really want push the envelope to see how far they can go until they feel the backlash from his supporters.

My guess is there's still a long way to go.

They could be told that Rump is the certified second coming of Jim Jones and they'd all reach out for a cup.

Doesn't that much plagiarism in one book raise at least some concern regarding an advisor who will be involved in communications?

Bill Adair, "Knight Professor of Journalism & Public Policy at Duke":

I teach an ethics course that focuses a lot on plagiarism, but I’ve never seen anything on this scale

This again illustrates how Rump is scraping the bottom of the barrel as he and his tremendous/terrific/really smart team casts about for advisors. Scott Baio is waiting for his call.
