    Your rabid rebuttal is devoid of logic. Rump could "stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody" and Rump Lovers wouldn't care. So are they going to be bothered enough by rampant plagarism to point it out?

            Where is the outrage?????????????????

            Trump, unswayed by spy reports, says only ‘stupid people’ oppose closer ties with Russia

            WASHINGTON—Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a hacking and disinformation campaign to harm Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump defeat her, three U.S. intelligence agencies said in an extraordinary report released Friday.

            A day after receiving a classified briefing on intelligence that says Russia meddled in the U.S. presidential campaign, Donald Trump dismissed concerns about closer ties with Moscow.

            Seems to be no big deal that Putin ordered meddling into the US election by hacking and spreading of disinformation.

            As self professed champion of the "free world", US citizens and it's newly anointed leader seem absolutely untroubled that their democratic cornerstones and political fate has been manipulated by outside hostile demagoguery. Joseph McCarthy must be rolling over in his grave.

            Either the US Intelligence agencies need to be totally revamped for getting it so wrong, or there is a massive wave of sleeping gas blanketing the nation.

            I just don't get this total indifference to being played as a patsy.

            Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

              Election meddling and post election assassination is not an exclusive privilege of democracies.
              What goes round, comes round.
              Even if proven guilty, Putin is just tapping the US nose in their own shiat.

              The US has been guilty of this type of subterfuge, not just in Central and South America, but all around the world.

                Is your point that the US should take it with a smile?

                This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

                        He'd have to know about the Alamo, which I very much doubt given that the history of the battle and its significance are not amenable to 140 characters.

                          Anyone who wants to know (or more rightly care) about US interference in foreign elections has known for a long, long time. I fail to see how that translates into US citizens accepting en masse a blase attitude about Russian interference in US elections.

                          Once Trump is actually the President, I find it difficult to believe that they are willing to support a very pro Russia stance from the US. I have to believe Trump and all those in the GOP who line up behind him are playing a dangerous political game by supporting the cozy relationship between the upper echelons of US policymakers w. Putin and russian oligarchs.

                            Looks like the Russians and Trump took down TGN for a while.

                                Given that:

                                1. about 3M (or 2.1%) more voters voted for Clinton than Trump;
                                2. FBI director James Comey's outrageous interference within a week of the election date; and
                                3. Russian hacking/interference in the election in order to favour Trump over Clinton;

                                one cannot help but wonder what it would have taken for Clinton to have won.

                                The legitimacy of Trump-Putin presidency is already in question before he takes office. Vladamir Putin's manchurian candidate will struggle for the next four years, especially since a significant majority of US voters did not choose Putin's choice. It is going to be a real shti show and it won't be funny, like some on this thread seem to treat this topic.
