I saw that picture and thought about what he was thinking.

It's got to be quite a feeling leaving that place for the last time. It's closing a chapter on his life, and leaving the position of being the most powerful man in the world.

This afternoon he goes back to being a regular guy. No army at his command, no codes for the nukes, no chef, no putting green on the side lawn.

It's got to be a powerful moment.

I wonder if it may even be a bit of a relief?

            That too, for sure.

Big sleep-in tomorrow, first one in ages!

Getting close now, Pence about to be sworn in.

            ...And he's IN!

3 more minutes 'til The Donald.

Wow, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir racing through "America The Beautiful" at quite a pace. Maybe they should have cut out a verse, or chosen a shorter song. Maybe "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? Gotta get the oath right at noon!

quite possibly. He did what he could while in office and it's probably the most stressful job there is. I've left jobs before that I both liked and didn't like and there was always a sense of relief and closure.

As soon as Trump was sworn in it started pouring rain, which is pretty much how the next four years are going to go.

He's making an interesting campaign speech.

Everything's going to change immediately. I wonder if they're going to wait until he's finished before they start the production lines in Michigan?

Anyway, he's tamed his hair for this Big Moment and it looks better.

his life has changed to the degree where he has now become a liability.

Generally rain is looked at as a good sign.

My favourite tweet of the morning, from a fake Prince Charles account:

President Trump's first official act will be to evict a black family from the White House. Awkward.

Anyways, moving on, did anyone else think Jackie Evancho was weak singing the National Anthem? I remember when she was in one of those singing contests at about age 11 and sounded like a mature adult opera singer. She was much better then. Perhaps she's got a cold?

Didn't see the inauguration nor speech.

Based on what I saw on tweeter characterizing the speech as 'Bannon-eqsue', 'Populist', and 'Nationalisitc', that is enough for me....
