  • Hey Dave - Did 12 Delta Crescent, Holland Landing actually sell? Or just expire?

    Thanks!

      • Hi Dave

2881 Escarpment Sideroad, Caledon, did it sell? It is one of two custom built homes and I am curious if they got their price. Seemed to me to be a bit high for the location.

        • It expired on Dec 5 and didn't sell. I agree that $4M is on the high side for sure.

          • Very close to hwy 10 and you didnt get a lot of privacy, finishes i am sure were of the best quality but for $4 million I would have expected more privacy.

            • I am looking at renting a condo in a building that is still not complete. I know the building so I am not concerned with viewing the particular unit. Since I cannot view the unit prior to signing the lease papers, how do I guarantee that the person that I am paying is in fact the owner of the condo. Move in date will be February 15. People are starting to take possession of their units on February 1. I just want to avoid a scam.

Good question as there are more and more scams like this out there. I would gladly do a title search for you but that won''t be updated until a few weeks after closing. The only way I can think of is to ask for a copy of the agreement to purchase and then get ID from the landlord and make sure it lines up. You may however insult the owner.

                  • It's sold conditional on the buyer selling their own home so no price is released until it firms up.

Thanks. The owner will be asking for my ID and my credit check, so i assume that asking for some information in return should be acceptable. As long as I have ID that matches what the builder has I should be OK. Its not a huge amount, so first and last month will be eligible for small claims if it is a scam. As long as the person is identifiable.

                        • Young professional here looking for a downtown Toronto condo, 1 bedroom. I am thinking in the 400k range, but not sure if this is totally unreasonable. Any suggestions for particular buildings/areas?
