  • The New TGN

After the initial bumps what a wild improvement to this site. Just overall looks, contests, sponsors interacting can't wait to see what's next from the new TGN!!

    I hope there is finally a TGN tournament. I need a 30 handicap since I shoot 110 average :-)

I'm not sure I'd agree. The look is a little more modern but there are still issues (missing threads being the biggest) and traffic is waaaay down.

Agreed, while change for some is difficult , i never had any real issues and like the many enhancements and new features and of course a much improved and modern look. Nice to see the new owners actively involved, contests, promotions etc whereas before that was basically non existent. Maybe its coincidence, but there is also much, much less infighting and a more friendly and positive environment.

I would like some form of BST feedback system to be implemented but otherwise all good.

I Just noticed this week the PGA leaderboard now in margin. I like that !

Yeah, the modern look is "nice", but it's hardly worth losing so much traffic.

The contests, the active participation by the owners, the "notifications" feature, the better handling of images... all good.

I respect the effort put in by the new owners and I know there's no going back, but would really like the "missing threads" issue to get sorted.

Lots of former regulars hardly ever show up any more, and that's a shame.

It's not obvious to me why the changes should have caused a drop-off in participation. It's clear that some people don't like change, but beyond that the reasons for staying away elude me.

This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

It makes no sense and there is a fun positive vibe here now also.

Maybe actual participation traffic is down, but actual viewing traffic is not known to us, only the programmers.
IMO the site will regain and surpass its past activity, because IMO the format is so much better and the effort by TrGo, who seems to be onto everything 24/7 is showing that it matters to him and the other owners if there are any.

100% agree 4underthru9 I've noticed the Facebook ads along with Osprey Valleys site. The traffic and experienc should far exceed the prior version.

There was some hiccups early on. A lot of people appeared to have bailed without giving some time for the owners to get things sorted out which is a shame.

Maybe not left but there certainly seems to be less traffic and some regulars have said they hardly come on the site anymore.

While we may have lost some members ( in a few cases that is a positive thing) I believe TrGo posted that actual post numbers are up.
